SCSI
Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) is an intelligent universal interface standard. SCSI is a true bus that defines standard physical and electrical connections for devices. The principle difference between SCSI and other buses is that SCSI makes the application of various types of peripheral devices more convenient.
SCSI is an independent processor standard for system level interfaces between computers and intelligent devices (hard disks, floppy drives, optical drives, printers, scanners, etc.). Host adapters and eight SCSI peripheral controllers can be connected on the SCSI bus. Peripherals can include disk, tape, CD-ROM, rewritable optical disk drives, printers, scanners, and communication devices.
